Two Face Products I’m Trying This March: Anua Double Cleansing Duo

I’ve never been one to buy into the hype of influencers and their endless recommendations. There’s always a new “holy grail” product, a “must-have” for your skincare routine—only for it to be replaced by another a few months later. But every now and then, a product catches my attention enough to make me curious. So since I'm getting older this month and anything that can help me look and feel younger its a yes ok i'll try it. 

What have I chosen to try: Anua Double Cleansing Duo.

This month, I decided to give this highly talked-about Korean skincare duo a try. Double cleansing has been a staple in many skincare routines, especially for those who wear sunscreen and makeup daily, but I’ve never been religious about it. That said, I love the idea of truly clean skin before layering on my serums and moisturizers.

Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil

The first step in this duo is the Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil. Heartleaf (Houttuynia Cordata) is known for its soothing, anti-inflammatory properties, making it a great choice for sensitive or acne-prone skin. The oil itself is lightweight, and unlike some cleansing oils I’ve tried in the past, it doesn’t leave that heavy, greasy feeling. It melts away makeup and sunscreen effortlessly, and I’ve noticed it doesn’t sting my eyes—major plus!

Anua Heartleaf Amino Cleanser

The second step is the Heartleaf Amino Cleanser, a gentle foaming cleanser meant to remove any remaining impurities after the oil cleanse. The texture is soft and creamy, and it lathers into a gentle foam rather than a harsh, stripping formula. My skin feels clean yet hydrated after using it, which is something I really appreciate in a cleanser.

Initial Thoughts

So far, I’m really enjoying this duo. My skin feels refreshed and balanced, and I haven’t noticed any irritation or breakouts. The scent is mild and pleasant—nothing overwhelming. I’ll be keeping an eye on whether it improves my skin texture or helps with congestion over the next few weeks.

Would I have tried this without the buzz around it? Probably not. But sometimes, skincare trends are worth a shot. Let’s see if this one lives up to the hype.
